The long first day of driving

After crossing the border we didn't stop except to get gas. We arrived in El Rosario at 9:45 pm, a 14 hour day of driving. When we pulled up to the Baja Cactus Motel, Fio went to check us in while Charlie, Brock, and I went to order food at the restaurant down the street. The sign in the window said it was open, but the front door was locked. We were starving, so we managed to get someone's attention and they very generously offered to make us something simple to go. We got four servings of corn and flour quesadillas with some rice and refried beans along with some beers. The food was great, but the fact we were famished I am sure contributed to our opinion of the food.

quesadillas, rice, and beans to go from Mama Espinoza's restaurant in El Rosario
