Heading to Baja

I depart this Saturday on a research dive trip where I will be visiting three local fish cooperatives on the Pacific side of the Baja peninsula. Professor Fio Micheli has been working with the fish cooperatives in Baja for many years. Now that I am retired I finally have the time to accompany her on this two week road trip. The other divers on the team are Charlie Bock and Brock Woodson. Our first stop is Isla Natividad where we will spend two nights on the island in order to get a full day of diving in. We then head to Estero La Bocana where, in addition to several days of diving, we will collect tissue sample from an abalone aquaculture facility. We then move on to El Rosario. From here we will take boats off shore to the dive around the uninhabited Isla San Geronimo.
